An Autistic Photographer Prepares His Photo Exhibition

He has been taking pictures for seven of his nineteen years. And he tries to see beauty everywhere. On January 10, he opened an exhibition.

The exhibition “PhotoAutism”, which opened, is first of all the exhibition of a young photographer with different abilities. There are a lot of photos he took right from the window: “This is before the field was disfigured, and now there’s a supermarket in its place, and on the other side of the field there’s an apple orchard”.

A photographer goes out for a walk with a camera almost every day. He doesn’t always get a chance, but he considers a day without pictures to be a lost day. “I have a favorite park near my house. There’s an old oak tree there, a big one. Another beautiful photo I get in the fall, when the trees are reflected in the water. I like to take pictures of the city with night illumination. I love the National Library and the view from it, it’s a good vantage point, but I rarely go up there, about once every six months”.

The hero of the article began to read at the age of five – immediately encyclopedias on geography and biology. Teachers talked about him: “a special child,” complaining about his excessive emotionality and inability to build relationships with his classmates. That is why he finished school at home, and of his friends he names only those with whom he corresponds by e-mail.

He describes his photographic work and we look at it: “This is a waterfall, in the park next to the National Library. And this is the bridge and the reflection of the bridge supports in the water. I found it with my dad on a walk. Here’s a river overflowing. And here’s a droplet with a gnat – everyone likes it.”
